Yesterday we had the privilege of having Declan McConville in with Primary 7 taking a creative writing transition workshop. This included a narrated story of one of Declan’s short stories “Nelly Fandango”. We continued on with a story mountain worksheet, to help us create our own short story inspired by Nelly Fandango and the idea of going through a change like transitioning to a new school. Afterwards we developed our main character from our stories, describing through appearance, hobbies, emotions, feelings, things there excited and anxious about and then illustrated our characters. To end off all our hard work, P7 photographed their illustrated characters and brought them to life through animation. Thank you Declan, P7 had a great day! 👏
